Perspective view of my final model: This image highlights how the light bounces of the top studio space, enhancing the importance of curved lines throughout the whole model.
Section: This is my favorite point of view of the model as it successfully captures the concept of the upper studio as growing larger and larger right before exploding reflecting the 'big bang theory'. Moreover the idea of the underground stair evolving into the studio space is highlighted through this section as well.
Underground Studio: this image really shows the evolution of the stair into the studio space. The idea was to have a stair that slowly expanded in size so that each tread became a new area for the artist to work in. This suits Swallow as he works in a range of medium from sculptures to water colours.
Upper Stair: The idea for this stair was based on the idea that existence isn't constant. This spiral staircase twists and tilts on its self and as it enters the gallery space expands into stepping
Gallery space: this image shows an open and light gallery space as to reflect the two artist whose concepts are grounded in the idea of existence and evolution and ultimately life. Moreover, this image shows Swallows work as well as the use of textures.

SketchUp Draft: One
This is the original model which i chose to develop and resolve as my final model. The biggest change is in the stairs.

SketchUp Draft: Two
This model is based on my unusual/conventional section: the upper studio is open which acknowledges the negative space as opposed to the positive space.
